Power Outages In Harare Due To Stolen Underground Cable - ZETDC

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has apologised to its customers in the Harare Region for power outages.

In a statement, ZETDC said the problem is due to a stolen underground cable on the feed supplying the areas.

The areas that have been affected include Mt Hampden Plots, Good Hope, New Forest, Willow Creek, Hyden Farm, New Parliament, ZIFA Village and surrounding areas.

ZETDC said its engineers and technicians were working to rectify the faults.

In a related development, ZETDC said the fault reporting lines for Harare North Region are not working.

It said customers can utilise the WhatsApp line 0719219977 to report faults while works are in progress to repair the faulty reporting lines.
