Mysterious Fire Torments Zvishavane Family
A family in Mazvihwa, Zvishavane is reportedly having sleepless nights over a mysterious fire that has been burning all household goods except the wardrobe.
Gogo Jina Moyo of Machina village under Chief Mazvihwa told ZBC News that she and her three grandchildren have resorted to sleeping in the open as the fire whose source is unknown comes each time they decide to sleep in their hut.
Speaking to ZBC News, Gogo Moyo who was still in a state of confusion after another early morning fire raze which saw a bucket with kitchen utensils burning said:
It is unexplainable. We are witnessing a fire whose origin we know nothing about. The children’s things are catching fire randomly; if we place a bucket of water here we find dirt in it.
I used to stay with my child, then I went to my home area and that is when I heard that that property had been burnt. We are looking for help because we do not know where this is coming from.

Chief Mazvihwa has since advised the family to seek traditional solutions to the mysterious fire. Chief Mazvihwa said:
As their traditional leader I have advised them to consult for help. The fire just erupts from nowhere, trees just start burning on their own…
ZBC News reports that neighbouring villagers are now living in fear of the unknown.
