Govt Warns Of Fake Scholarships Advertisements

The Executive Director of Presidential and National Scholarships in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Christopher Mushowe, has warned members of the public of fake scholarships advertisements circulating on social media.

In a statement, Mushowe distanced the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) from the advertisements, saying all genuine and official Government Scholarships are always put on public print media and public broadcaster, and never on social media. We publish the full text of the statement below:

It has come to the notice of the Presidential and National Scholarships Department in the Office of the President and Cabinet that bogus scholarships advertisements are circulating on social media, which are advising applicants to submit applications to the following email address: apply@presidentialscholarship online.

The Zimbabwe Presidential and National Scholarships Office wishes to disown these adverts and advises the public that all genuine and official Government Scholarships are always put on public print media and public broadcaster, and never on social media.

All official Government scholarships advertisements would require applicants to address and send applications to the Executive Director, Compensation House, Harare.
