Chivhu Woman Blames Husband After She Killed All Their Children
The woman from Chivhu who allegedly killed her four children in cold blood on Wednesday had blamed her husband for her misdeeds.
Emelda Marazani told Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care John Mangwiro that her husband, Lameck Brande provoked her when he said all the four children were not his.
Deputy Minister Mangwiro had visited Marazani at Chivhu General Hospital this afternoon where she is receiving treatment after she attempted suicide by drinking poison soon after killing her children.
Marazani told the deputy minister that she regrets killing her children. She said:
He said all the children were not his. Anogarondiudza kuti haaite vana vasikana asi vakomana chete (He always told me that he does not sire girls but boys only). This hurt me and yesterday he repeated that the children were not his. He is also a womaniser and that is hurting me.

Marazani, who is more than six months pregnant, said she will take care of her baby and protect her at all costs.
The four bodies are at Chivhu General Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
