Dynamos Records One Positive Coronavirus Case

Former Premier Soccer League champions Dynamos Football Club have recorded a positive coronavirus case out of the 46 people tested this Monday.

This was revealed by the club’s Marketing and Communications manager Yvonne Mangunda in a statement.

Mangunda said Ministry of Health officials have since been informed of the development and the individual will observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with COVID-19 protocols. She said:

As part of preparations for the resumption of team training, Dynamos Football Club today conducted COVID-19 tests on first team players, technical team and Secretariat.

Out of the 46 people tested, 1 tested positive of COVID-19. Relevant authorities have been informed and the club will adhere to Government and public health guidelines set for the positive individual.

The individual will observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with COVID-19 protocols. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back at work soon.

The team will start group training on 10 November 2020.

DeMbare officials and players converged at the giant National Sports Stadium in Harare early this Monday morning for COVID-19 PCR tests and a strategic meeting.

Meanwhile, club captain Partson Jaure, who has recovered from career-threatening injuries sustained in a car accident earlier this year, assured fans that he is back to his best.

Dynamos were expecting all the test results to be released this Monday ahead of their first group training this Tuesday.
