Tsitsi Dangarembga To Deliver The 7th Annual Oliver Tambo Memorial Lecture Tonight

Award-winning legendary novelist Tsitsi Dangarembga will tonight at 6 PM deliver the 7th annual Oliver Tambo Memorial Lecture commemorating the stateman’s 103rd birthday, South Africa’s City Press reports.

According to the publication, the memorial lecture is the Oliver & Adelaide Tambo Foundation’s flagship event. The foundation focuses on preserving the legacies of honourees:

The Oliver & Adelaide Tambo Foundation is a public benefit organisation established in 2010 to promote, protect and preserve the legacies of our honourees by undertaking education-focused, community-upliftment initiatives.

In the past 7 years, guests like Thabo Mbeki, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng have delivered the memorial lecture that will be delivered by Dangarembga tonight.

Dangarembga will deliver this year’s memorial lecture on the Post-crisis Crisis: After Uhuru at an event that will be facilitated by foundation CEO, Zengeziwe Msimang.
