MDC T Vows To Take Disciplinary Action Against Gorekore And Bhebhe

The MDC T 2014 structures which was resurrected by the Supreme Court in March has vowed to take legal action against 2 party members  Abednico Bhebhe and Paul Gorekore for destabilisation of the party and bringing the party into disrepute New Zimbabwe reports.

This was revealed by the party’s secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora who said this during an MDC T resolutions Press Conference:

Denounce acts of indiscipline, destabilisation of the party and bringing the party into disrepute by Mr Abednico Bhebhe and Paul Gorekore.

The leadership hereby ordered to commence and pursue disciplinary action against these two in terms of the party constitution.

The national council was of the opinion that there were acts of indiscipline by Mr Gorekore and Mr Bhbhe but we resolved that the two would be dealt with in terms of our constitution. We want to assure our supporters that we will be firm with our own.

Paul Gokerekore was suspended by the Thokozani Khupe led faction after he led a group of youths to seize the party headquarters which they reportedly intended to hand over to the MDC Alliance.

While Bhebhe answered an application that sort to compel the MDC T to reveal key information about the court-sanctioned congress. According to Khupe, he was not supposed to answer the affidavit even though he was cited as a respondent.

  1. I think Zimbabwean politics is generally sick! Our politicians across the political divide prioritise popularity over constitutionalism. I think money is replacing ideas in our politics. I don’t think this is sustainable at all! The only people who will reap the rewards are lawyers, not the ordinary person!
