The Gweru City Council has hiked their parking fees and pegged them against the greenback and urged motorists paying with local currency to use the prevailing bank rate.
this was contained in a memo circulating from the council which stated that:
We would like to notify motorists that from Friday 9th of October, our parking fees will be $1 per hour or equivalent as per bank rate. Clamping fees will be $30 or as per bank rate.
