While addressing an interface single mothers’ meeting in Seke, First lady Auxilia Mnangagwa said young women should learn to work with their own hands by engaging in projects that can sustain them and their families, THe Herald reports.
Mrs Auxillia Mnangagwa urged young girls to shun prostitution and value their bodies and said:

I want to urge you all to be responsible and respect your bodies. Humhandara idambakamwe, naizvozvo chenjerai. I want to hear of girls who refuse to be defiled. Let us all use our hands to improve our lives and not peddle our flesh.
Urging the ladies not to abort their children the first lady said:
Do not abort even if the man responsible has denied paternity because this endangers your health as a woman.
Let us treasure our bodies because in abortion we may use substances, which cause cancer and you cut short your life.
To the young ladies who are thinking of starting families without a solid foundation, I urge you to put such thoughts on hold and plan for the future first.
At the same meeting, Mnangagwa revealed that she had brought something for the ladies and said:
As patron of Angel of Hope Foundation, I have come with projects that enable the young and the single women to look after their families through the making of detergents for washing utensils, laundry and bathing soaps, petroleum jelly, body lotions, perfume and toilet cleaners.
This came after reports that young girls are engaging in prostit_ution in some instances to raise school fees circulated, while some schools going girls are said to be pregnant as CSOs urge schools not to discriminate against such girls when schools reopen.
