International Trade Union Confederation To Hold Global Mass Protests Tomorrow In Solidarity With Poorly-Paid Zimbabwean Workers.

International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) will tomorrow 23 September hold mass protests in solidarity with Zimbabwean workers who are poorly paid, Newsday reports.

This was revealed by the ZImbabwe Congress Of Trade Unions Secretary General Japhet Moyo who said affiliates of the ITUC will tomorrow picket Zimbabwean embassies worldwide while demanding decent salaries for Zimbabwean workers. Said Moyo:

The International Trade Union Confederation has called on its affiliates to take action against the Zimbabwean government that includes protests at Zimbabwe embassies, sending letters of protest and social media campaigns to highlight the plight of Zimbabwe workers, the non-respects of rights and the demand for a better wages

The protest is coming at a time salaries in Zimbabwe have not matched inflation which is now above 700%.

A flier seen by Pindula about the Global Mass protest said the picketing in South Africa will see the protestors picketing in 3 cities, Pretoria, Johanesburg and Bellville
