Mussa Taj Abdul And Accomplices Back In Court, Complains About Not Being Treated Well At Chikurubi

Notorious alleged robber Mussa Taj Abdul and his 7 accomplices who were apprehended by law enforcement agents in Beitbridge last month are back in court, The Herald reports. The gang which includes

  1. Mussa Taj Abdul (47)
  2. Charles Lundu (47)
  3. Rudolf Kanhanga alias Tapiwa Munatsi (29)
  4. Tapiwa Mangoma alias Tapa (27)
  5. Innocent Jairosi (32)
  6. Prince Makodza (31)
  7. Liberty Mupamhanga (29)
  8. Godfrey Mupamhanga (27)

reportedly came to the Magistrate’s court accompanied by over10 police officers from the CID Homicide Unit. Abdul reportedly said they were not being treated well at Chikurubi Maximum Prison and they haven’t been able to speak to their lawyers:

We have not seen or contacted our lawyers ever since we were sent to Chikururubi Maximum Prison and we want the court to assist us so that we give our lawyers instructions.

The magistrate deferred the case to 23 September according to the publication. The gang is in custody on seven charges of warmer robbery while they are also wanted in other countries for similar charges.
