While briefing the media yesterday, Infomation Minister said the MDC vowed to make the country ungovernable in 2018 (kudira jecha) and the statements by the opposition have thus far have spelt trouble for the government, New Zimbabwe reports.
Mutsvangwa who last week attacked Catholics Bishops for rebuking the government said:
We all know that after the 2018 elections, the opposition MDC Alliance spoke about pouring sand (hamutongi tichadira jecha) on Mnangagwa’s reign and this is a public message. They have not stopped.”
Mutsvangwa also blamed the sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe for the country’s woes and said:
Some countries have imposed illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe. These have caused divisions among families. They have stage-managed abduction stories. There is an enemy in Zimbabwe.
Mutsvangwa, however, failed to mention other issues bedevilling the country like gross levels of corruption and infamous international headlining human rights abuses.
