UPDATE: Wife Of Abducted MDC-A Activist Appears Before Courts For Reporting The Absence Of Her Husband

Tamuka Denhere, an MDC Alliance activist who was allegedly abducted by suspected by state security agents on Wednesday was on Thursday dumped at Harare Central Police Station.
Denhere’s wife who was arrested upon arriving at Gweru police station to report that her husband was missing this Friday appeared before the courts for making a false report. MDC Alliance posted on its social media pages:
When Denhere was abducted in Gweru, his wife went to the police station to report him as missing. She was immediately arrested & charged with making a false report. She appears in court this morning. Denhere was later dumped at Harare Central Police Station by state agents.
The party’s vice president, Tendai Biti posted on Twitter claiming that Denhere was also brought to court this morning but would not state the charges levelled against him.
He said Denhere was brought to court “on some nebulous charge. His real crime is to belong to the MDC Alliance,” adding that the development signals an end of the administration led by President Mnangagwa.
Dozens of opposition activists and human rights defenders who have been abducted and tortured by suspected state agents recently.
