4 Malawian Women Escape From Mushagashe Quarantine Center, 3 Men From Churchill School In Harare

More people have escaped from Mushagashe Quarantine Center In Masvingo, reports from the ZRP say 4 women from Malawi escaped from the quarantine centre which has also headlined for having the highest number of escapees, The Herald reports.

3 men also escaped from Churchill School in Harare bringing the total number of people who escaped from quarantine centres on Sunday to 7.

The incidences were confirmed by ZRP National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who said:

Police are now investigating the manner in which these people escaped from these centres. We still believe that they are taking advantage of the time they are given to refresh to escape while others are escaping during meal times. We urge the public to report such people to the police so that they will be arrested.

ZRP has so far arrested 30 people from the 200+ quarantine escapees since the lockdown started. Doctors at some point said the state of the quarantine centres was deplorable.
