Tawanda Muchehiwa who was abducted ZRP on Thursday has been found. Tawanda was found tortured and injured and details of where he was dumped are still sketchy. News of him being found was shared by Pedzisai Ruhanya on Twitter. Ruhanya also shared photos of a tortured Tawanda in a tweet that reads:

Breaking News: Tawanda Muchehiwa found after 4 days of police torture. Found dumped and in great pain. This allows High Court order to produce him alive in 72 hours. Lets hear what the idiots who deny abductions after Chinamasa’s order say!

  1. Thankfully he is alive although having suffered torture. The Government and its security (security really?) organs have surpassed themselves in their total disregard for human life, human dignity and human rights. They are a law unto themselves and use it to their own selfish ends. They have blinkers on that have narrowed their vision to themselves, themselves and no one but themselves. The indiscrimanate arrests and abductions are carried out by details who themselves inwardly decry the exceeses of the top officials and the impoverishment of the ordinary citizens. What a sick society we have degenerated into. I’ll rephrase that: How depraved some Zimbabweans have become ; they are in the minority but they hold the reins and some of the rank and file of the security arms rentlessly and enthusiastically perform the brutal acts of harrassment and torture. The majority of
Zimbabweans keep the sprit of humanity alive as witnessed by the many acts of reaching out to those in need, one of the most recent being the immediate response for meals for health workers in Covid-19 wards.
