An MDC Youth leader was reportedly abducted and tortured by unidentified men last night. This was released by the party on Twitter in a Tweet that reads:
MDC-A Youth Leader Takunda Madzana was abducted in Magwegwe & tortured between 23:00 & 00:00 hrs yesterday. Day before, four armed suspected spooks ransacked Bulawayo Ward 24 Councillor Arnold Batirai Dube’s Nketa home for a laptop, two cellphones & cash #COVID19CURFEW
The party did not shed more light on the incident and what might have happened to Madzana after the abduction and the torture. We will update this article as new details emerge.
The abduction and torture of Madzana come almost 2 months after other MDC Allaince youth leaders, Joana Mamombe, Netsai Marowa and Cecelia Chepiri were abducted at a demo in Harare and were found 3 days later after they had been tortured.
