8 People Escape From Mushagashe Quarantine Center

8 People escaped from Mushagashe Quarantine Center in Masvingo a day before yesterday, The Herald reports. The 8 are part of the 15 people who escaped from quarantine centres countrywide in the past 2 weeks.

This was revealed by Covid-19 provincial taskforce spokesperson Mr Rodgers Irimai who spoke to the publication and named the escapees and said:

Police are hunting for the eight who escaped from Mushagashe on Wednesday, they have activated all systems so that they are tracked and brought back into mandatory quarantine

1. Michael Vereya (25) of Gutu,
2. Rhumba Chisedza (33) of Masvingo,
3. Troy Nkala (25), Chikombedzi
4. Professor Moyo (25), Chikombedzi
5. Wonderful Hazamwe (23) Chikombedzi,
6. Emmanuel Manyame (28) Zaka
7. Nyasha Manyanye (23) Zaka
8. James Zimwara (28) Charumbira Village in Masvingo

The exact cumulative number of escapees who escaped from quarantine centres countrywide is not known but a few weeks ago the number was edging towards 200.
