Shurugwi Man Battling For His Life After Being Attacked By 'Hitmen' Hired By His Wife
A 20-year-old woman has been arrested after she reportedly hired hitmen including her lover to kill her husband to reportedly pave way for her and her lover to get married, The Herald reports.
Dereck Mudzengi is admitted at Shurugwi District Hospital where he is being treated after he sustained serious injuries after he was attacked by his wife’s new lover and his friends with machetes and iron bars and was saved by passersby who heard his screams.
ZRP has confirmed the arrest of Priscilla Chiyavayava, Mudzengi’s wife and confiscated her phone which they said has incriminating evidence. Midlands police spokesperson Inspector Joel Goko said:
I can confirm the arrest of a 20-year-old woman, Priscilla Chiyavayava, who allegedly connived with some three men, among them her alleged boyfriend, to attack her husband..

It seems this was a plan she had already hatched with her boyfriend because she even indicated in one of her text messages to the boyfriend that the husband had $150 on him and they should steal it before killing him.
Chiyavayava’s boyfriend Justin Mpfeka is on the run and ZRP has launched a manhunt for him and the 2 friend only identified as Nyasha and Lloyd who also attacked Mudzengi together with Mpfeka.
