Obert Masararure, the leader of the Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) has reported that unidentified armed men claiming to be from the office of the President raided his uncle’s home searching to him.
Masaraure posted on Twitter:
Armed men raided the residence of my uncle in Kuwadzana last night. They arrived at 2 am heavily armed and said they were looking for me. I am safe for now, but worried.
They were four armed men in suits, who claimed to be from the President’s office. They abducted my cousin threatening to kill him. They later dumped him at Kuwadzana 2 shopping center after interrogating him about my whereabouts. They were in an unmarked twin cab, black in colour. The young man, (my cousin) is heavily traumatised.
