Zanu PF has reportedly resolved to evict Acting Gweru Town Clerk Vakai Douglas Chikwekwe from the party farm it was leasing to him because he reportedly failed to utilise it to its maximum capacity, Sunday News reports.
The development came to light yesterday at the party’s provincial meeting when Zanu-PF Midlands Provincial chairperson Daniel Mckenzie Ncube said:
As the provincial executive, some of the issues that we discussed is the party land that is in proximity to the Convention Centre. Part of the land had been leased to acting Town Clerk of Gweru City Council. We have resolved to evict him from the property with immediate effect
Mr Vakai Douglas Chikwekwe who is the acting town clerk was recently implicated in a fuel scandal at the local authority. According to the publication, the process to evict him from a Zanu PF farm has already been initiated.
