WATCH: Zimbabwean Pastor Warned Late Burundi President That His Rule Will End "Unceremoniously" For Using God's Title

A Zimbabwean pastor, Ian Ndlovu, reportedly warned Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza in 2019 to stop using a title he had been given by his party but “only fit for God”.

The preacher asked that the president withdraws from using the name or he would lose his powers unceremoniously.

In the video clip shared on the church’s Youtube channel back in July 2019, Ndlovu said Nkurunziza had to repent or face the consequences. Ndlovu said:

For the nation of Burundi, you should pray for their leader, recently they gave him a very big title. I will not even tell you the title because it sounds blasphemous. It’s a title we can only give to God.

God was telling me in the spirit when I was praying that I should resist those who are proud. So God is resisting him and he should repent. Especially those who gave him the title.

For all, we understand he’s a born again Christian. God loves me and served him when they were humiliating him. The spirit of God says they withdraw that title or less he will lose his powers unceremoniously.

Nkurunziza died on Monday of a heart attack, according to the government. There is suspicion that he could have died of COVID-19 after his wife was airlifted to Kenya to receive treatment for the disease.

He had given himself the title: SUPREME GUIDE TO PATRIOTISM.
