Musona's Agent Confirms Talks For Possible Transfer To KAS Eupen

Zimbabwean national football team captain Knowledge Musona’s Belgian club, Anderlecht are in talks for a possible transfer to rivals KAS Eupen, his representative Mike Makaab has confirmed.

The deal however, hinges on a high transfer fee Anderlecht is likely to demand for Musona as he still has two years left on his contract as well as Eupen’s inability to match the Zimbabwean’s lucrative wages at the Belgians giants. Said Makaab:

They [Eupen] are in discussions with Anderlecht but the key to the whole thing is if they can afford Knowledge Musona, that’s the key [issue].

They haven’t spoken to us yet, we are in the process of engaging with them, Knowledge is not a youngster, he’s worked hard for where he is today.

If Anderlecht doesn’t want him then they have to make it attractive for him to leave because he’s got two years left on his contract.

Musona joined Anderlecht in July 2018 for a lucrative €2.5 million from K.V. Oostende where he had scored 39 goals in 103 appearances.

Anderlecht sent him to KAS Eupen in January this year on loan and he had a mini-revival, scoring two goals in six starts which appear to have convinced the Belgian side to consider a permanent deal for him.
