COVID-19 Update - 22 May 2020, Cases Jump To 56 As 5 People Test Positive For The Virus
The Ministry of Health has issued the following statement updating the nation on the progression of COVID-19 in Zimbabwe:
Five (5) cases tested positive for COVID-19 today. These include 1 male returnee from Botswana who is in isolation in Gweru, 3 Malawian illegal immigrants who were intercepted by security authorities and in isolation in Beitbridge while awaiting deportation to Malawi, and 1 female from Harare
Today 195 RDT screening tests and 110 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 35 112 (19 918 RDT and 15 194 PCP)
FeedbackTo date the total number of confirmed cases is 56; recovered 18, active cases 34 and 4 deaths, since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020
