Operator Of Mhunga Buses Dies
Tanda Tavarura, the operator of buses trading under the name Mhunga, has died. The development was reported by George Maponga, Masvingo Bureau for the State-owned radio, StarFM.
Maponga reported that Tavarura died on Monday at his Rhodene home in Masvingo after a long illness. The death was confirmed by one of Tavarura’s sons, Cornelius Tavaruva. Cornelius said:
He (Mhunga) he passed on about an hour ago (around 3 pm) at home. He had been unwell for some time.
FeedbackMhunga Bus Company recently rebranded and changed its name to Mega-Link. The company’s buses have on numerous occasions been involved in accidents and some believe that is one of the reasons for rebranding.
Since the company’s bus accident in August 2009, conspiracy theories have been thickening. But hidden under these theories is the belief that there was a bad spell or omen haunting Mhunga that needs to be exorcised.
