"COVID-19 Vaccine May Never Be Found," - UK Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson has said that the vaccine for the novel coronavirus. He made the remarks a 50-page plan to relax lockdown rules, in which he said there was need to plan for a worst-case scenario.

He said that people who could not work from home should be encouraged to return to their places of employment as a “zero-risk” approach will not work. He added:

It is clear that the only feasible long-term solution lies with a vaccine or drug-based treatment.

But while we hope for a breakthrough, hope is not a plan. A mass vaccine or treatment may be more than a year away. Indeed, in a worst-case scenario, we may never find a vaccine.

Johnson speaks when the Jenner Institute team at the University of Oxford has reportedly started trials of the coronavirus vaccines on people which it said has an 80% chance of success.
