Harare City Council has continued to demolish “illegal” structures across the city, with Warren Park and Cold Comfort targetted on Wednesday.
Critics of the demolitions have labelled the exercise “Murambatsvina 2” after the infamous Operation Murambatsvina that was carried out in 2005 and left over 700 000 people homeless.
Authorities are taking advantage of the current lockdown to raze mostly EcoCash “shops” and informal traders’ market stalls to the ground.
