Esrom Nyandoro Donates Mealie Meal To 300 Families In Mzilikazi
Football legend Esrom Nyandoro will this week donate maize meal to 300 needy families in Bulawayo’s Mzilikazi suburb, The Chronicle reports. This was after Nyandoro organised a campaign to raise money to buy basics through an auction that was going to sell 1 million masks and sanitizers.
The auction was reportedly cancelled after an anonymous bidder underwrote the auction for an undisclosed amount and returned the items back to Nyandoro.
One of the campaign organisers who spoke to the publication revealed that they bought the mealie meal with the funds from the anonymous bidder.
The campaign has immediately moved to purchase mealie meal and other basic supplies that will be distributed to 300 needy homes in Mzilikazi
The auction items that were donated back to Nyandoro by the bidder will be used for future fundraising campaigns according to Nyandoro’s campaign team.
