The Bundesliga is reportedly awaiting approval from the Germany government to football in May this year.
This was confirmed by the DFL CEO Christian Seifert during a press conference on Thursday afternoon. Seifert said:
The Bundesliga is ready to resume, no matter whether on May 9 or at a later date. It’s not up to us to find a date. The political decision-makers decide.
Get German Football News reports that should the Bundesliga resume, a maximum of 213 personnel will be allowed inside the stadium and a further 109 outside, in order to practise social distancing skills.
All football campaigns are currently suspended worldwide due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
