Bundesliga Awaits Germany Government Approval To Resume Football In May

The Bundesliga is reportedly awaiting approval from the Germany government to football in May this year.

This was confirmed by the DFL CEO Christian Seifert during a press conference on Thursday afternoon. Seifert said:

The Bundesliga is ready to resume, no matter whether on May 9 or at a later date. It’s not up to us to find a date. The political decision-makers decide.

Get German Football News reports that should the Bundesliga resume, a maximum of 213 personnel will be allowed inside the stadium and a further 109 outside, in order to practise social distancing skills.

All football campaigns are currently suspended worldwide due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
