AUDIO: ED's Speech On The State Of Coronavirus Lockdown
President Emmerson Mnangagwa this Sunday extended the national lockdown by two more weeks. The country has been on a 21-day lockdown to suppress the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
The lockdown was supposed to end tonight.
In his speech, he indicated that he, together with other government authorities, made the decision to extend the lockdown due to a number of factors including the rising number of people contracting the virus in the country.
He also said that the high number of returnees expected from the country, some of which are resident in countries with high numbers of coronavirus cases, was a cause for concern.
