ED To Address The Nation On TV On Independence Day
President Emmerson Mnangagwa will make a televised independence address tomorrow since the country is in lockdown due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, The Herald reports.
This was revealed by the presidential spokesperson George Charamba who said:
The President will make a televised address to the nation on Independence Day in respect to the efforts to contain Covid-19. The address will be broadcast from State House so he will reach Zimbabweans through television and other media platforms.
FeedbackZimbabwe celebrates its 40th independence from the British Colonial system tomorrow and people cannot congregate because of the lockdown restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The independence celebrations which were supposed to be held out of Harare for the first time in 40 years were postponed due to COVID-19.
