Parirenyatwa Hospital Starts COVID-19 Rapid Testing For Front Line Staff

Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals this Thursday commenced COVID-19 rapid testing, starting with front line staff, with the test programme expected to be extended to patients.

In a post on Twitter, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said the test procedure only takes about 15 minutes and the programme will be extended to all patients in due course in order to avoid cross-contamination. The post read:

The programme will be extended to all patients in due course in order to avoid cross-contamination.

This is in line with measures that have been taken in other countries to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
