ED Lauds Kirsty Coventry For Launching UPAZIM

President Mnangagwa praised the Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Minister Kirsty Coventry for launching the United Programme for Athletes and Artistes in Zimbabwe initiative aimed at tackling challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Chronicle reports.

Calling her initiative blessed, the president was the first to comment on Kirsty’s tweet that announced the launch of the initiative. The president responded:

Congratulations @kirstyCoventry on this blessed initiative. We are proud of our talented athletes and artistes, and thank them for sharing this important message. Stay at home, save lives! #unitedtogetherstayingapart

Honourable Coventry’s initiative was well received by some sports personalities like Peter Ndlovu and Sean Williams who responded to the message posted by the Minister and spread the word on Twitter.
