School Pupils To Receive Prepared Lessons Over The Radio And TV

The government has resolved that school pupils should continue learning and has invited teachers to submit prepared recorded audios and video lessons which can be used during the lockdown period.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Cain Mathema sent a notice to teachers inviting them to get in touch with ministry officers. The notice read:

(Ministry of Primary of Secondary Education minister) MoPSE through Curriculum Development Unit and the Technical Services (CDTS) is looking for teachers with prepared lessons for term two that are or can be recorded as audio and video for broadcasting in all grades for the Competence-based Curriculum Learning Areas to get in touch with the following officers.

Permanent secretary the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Tumisang Thabela, told the Daily News that teachers will submit the lessons online.

However, Thabela could not confirm if the teachers were going to receive allowances on carrying out the project, saying everything will be answered after the concept has been fully implemented.
