"Those Who Sow With Tears Will Reap With Songs Of Joy," - Chamisa's Easter Message

Nelson Chamisa, a leader in the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has sent a message of hope saying that despite the prolonged anguish, things will be alright.

His message comes during Easter Holidays when the world is celebrating the death of Jesus Christ which is believed by Christians to have brought salvation to the damned. Posting on Twitter, Chamisa said:

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Holy Saturday is not only a day of loss but a day of great hope. It is the place between anguish &hope, we wait in hope. A new day is coming. The Cross is not a place of defeat;it is a place of victory!

Chamisa was an unordained pastor in the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe (AFM) before he was suspended for participating in circular politics which is considered a violation of the church’s code of conduct.

His message comes when the world is grappling with the coronavirus pandemic which emerged in China in December last year. The deadly virus has killed 102 842 people across the world while 1 703 002 people have tested positive as of April 11, 2020, 08:17 GMT.

It also comes when Zimbabwe is submerged under an economic and humanitarian crisis that has seen citizens’ living standards deteriorate.
