"Stay At Home And Never Get To Use These Makeshift Coronavirus Centres." - Govt Official
Nick Ndabaningi Mangwana the permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services has said members of the public must stay at home and avoid contracting coronavirus so as to avoid using “makeshift” isolation centres.
His remarks were in response to a tweet which said that the makeshift temporary isolation centres, particularly at Gweru Hospital, were a child’s play.
The tweet echoes popular sentiments which say that the government is less serious about fighting the virus. Mangwana responded
Stay at home mate. That’s all that matters. The rest are just emotions divorced from reality. Reality is you should stay at home and never get to use one of these makeshift places.
His remarks come when the country is on a 21-day lockdown that was imposed to stop the spread and transmission of the deadly pandemic.
