JUST IN: SA Extends Lockdown By 14 Days

The South African government has extended their lockdown by 2 weeks, The South African reports. The lockdown which was supposed to end on 16 April will end on 1 May 2020.

According to the publication:

There’s been some talk of “temporary” relaxation of the lockdown period. This would allow citizens to return to a relatively normal lifestyle – with social distancing protocols still in place – for a week or two, before we enter another stint in behind closed doors. This, however, has not been implemented by the president.

According to the publication there is a chance the date will be revised once again close to the end of the month.
