Doctors Volunteer To Offer Free Consultation Services During Lockdown

A team of 17 doctors has volunteered to offer free consultation ser4vices during the national lockdown that was imposed to stop the spread of coronavirus.

This was revealed by Dr Sameh Grace a member of the team during an interview with NewsDay. Dr Grace said:

People feel insecure; they need somebody who will talk to them professionally. We attend to emergency cases only countrywide from 8:00 to 04:00pm. This is done over the phone and via WhatsApp so that we advise them what to do about their illness.

The development comes when social media is awash with fake news and unverified content which has caused great panic among citizens.

The situation has been worsened by reports which suggest that the government is concealing information about the deadly pandemic.
