Zimbabwe Police Reverse Ban On Sale Of Alcohol, Announce Conditions For Selling
Zimbabwe Republic Police have reversed the ban on alcohol sales saying supermarkets and registered bottle stores can now continue selling beer on condition it is consumed off the premises.
The latest development was announced by national police national spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who, in a statement, warned drinkers against gathering outside their homes.
Police had banned the sale of alcohol in retail outlets, bars and bottle stores countrywide during the 21-day lockdown to enforce compliance with social distancing requirements.
