Opposition MDC official, Morgen Komichi has said that Nelson Chamisa cannot recall any of the MDC members from Parliament.
Komichi’s remarks come when some have opined that Chamisa can recall Komichi and Douglas Mwonzora from Senate as revenge for their support to Thokozani Khupe, Chamisa’s nemesis.
This is unfolding following the Supreme Court ruling which reduced Chamisa to a Secretary for Policy and Research in the party while Khupe was reinstated as the party leader.
Komichi and Mwonzora, openly and vehemently supporters the ruling and urged Chamisa and the rest of party officials and supporters to also embrace the judgment.
Responding to the question of whether Chamisa was going to recall some members from Parliament, Komichi said:
The Supreme Court judgment supercedes political moves, if he writes a letter to recall us then Mudenda will be guided by the Supreme Court judgment which is above any political moves.
Komichi was empowered by the ruling as the chairperson of the party to call for an extraordinary congress and he said that he has since told Douglas Mwonzora who was reinstated as the Secretary-General of the party to make preparations.
