Sakunda, Seventh-day Adventist Church Eye Arundel Medical Hospital

Kuda Tagwirei-owned Sakunda Holdings has joined hands with the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church to convert Arundel Medical Hospital into a coronavirus treatment centre.

In a letter dated 22 March 2020, and addressed to Harare City Director for Health Prosper Chonzi, Ministry of Health and Child Care Permanent Secretary Agnes Mahomva wrote:

Sakunda Holdings in conjunction with the Seventh Day Adventist Church wishes to assist the Government of Zimbabwe in combating the Covid 19 scourge by leasing the above-named institution on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Child Care for use as an isolation and treatment centre.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care is very happy to support this initiative and accordingly requests the City of Harare to consider granting this Hospital isolation status with all the rules attendant thereof observed.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care has no objection to this application.
