We Will Contain The Virus If We Keep To Our Homes For The 21 Days - ED
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has expressed his hopes for combating COVID-19 if people adhere to the lockdown he announced last week, The Sunday Mail reports.
The President was speaking after receiving donations from Fossils Group CEO Mr Obey Chimuka when he said:
It is important that there is no concentration of people. If we keep to our homes during the 21 days, I have no doubt that this will give a big blow to the spread of the pandemic.
FeedbackI believe that other companies who produce materials needed to fight the pandemic should do the same and come forward to donate. As companies, as industries, as organisations, if we put our resources together … I have no doubt that we will succeed in fighting the pandemic.
The government has said the army will be used to enforce lockdown rules and regulations compliance.
