'ZESA Has Not Lost Any Employee To Coronavirus'

ZESA Holdings has dismissed reports that it has lost some of its operations staff to coronavirus.

In a statement on Twitter, ZESA Holdings spokesperson Fullard Gwasira said:

ZESA has NOT experienced any Corona related deaths at any of its establishments. ZESA takes the Coronavirus seriously and measures are in place to ensure the safety of operations staff and the continued generation of electricity. Reports asserting this are therefore false.

Zimbabwe recently confirmed its third Covid-19 infection, with the government promulgating the new Public Health (Covid-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) Regulations 2020 on Monday.

The regulations are valid until May 20, although they may be extended a month at a time.
