South Africa's Confirmed Coronavirus Cases Soar To 709
South Africa’s Health Minister Zweli Mkhize announced this Wednesday that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in that country has risen to 709 from 554.
South Africa has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases on the African continent. It has not yet registered any death due to the virus.
The rise comes at a time when the country’s president Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday announced a 21-day-long national lockdown which is expected to come into effect on the 26th of March until the 16th of April. South Africa.
