The Nelson Chamisa led MDC has shed more light on the country’s preparedness to combat COVID-19 as they say the country has less than 100 beds at 2 of the country’s biggest COVID-19 isolation centres.
This was revealed by Nelson Chamisa’s spokesperson who was in an interview with New Zimbabwe when he said:
It is really saddening that when the country is facing such a natural crisis, there is virtually no equipment, we have less than a hundred beds in the country with only 30 or so in Harare and slightly less number in Thorngrove hospital, Bulawayo.
The MDC runs 28 out of 32 councils in Zimbabwe and is responsible for most medical centres that have been turned into COVID-19 isolation centres.
