Chinese Companies In Zimbabwe Donate Half A Million Dollars For The Refurbishment Of Wilkins Hospital

Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital, Harare’s COVID-19 isolation centre has been allocated $500 000 by Chinese Companies in Zimbabwe so that it can be refurbished, Daily News reports.

The matter came to light  at the refurbishment project held at the Chinese Embassy in Harare where David Zhou, Jin An Corporation managing director said:

Our budget for the refurbishment of the hospital is currently US$500 000 which is half a million United States Dollars but we think there might be changes because we might want to do more for the hospital.
For now, time is of most importance … We have an assignment we need to finish quickly. If we still have time, we can do more
Meanwhile, the MDC has said the hospital only has 30 beds to take care of any and all COVID-19 cases to be recorded in Harare.
