South African Farmers Ready To Start Farming In Zimbabwe - SA Embassy
After the govt passed the Statutory Instrument (SI) 62 of 2020 which allows commercial farmers to apply to possess the land that was formerly theirs or any other institution or individual interested in undertaking farming on land being controlled by the government, South African farmers are reportedly ready to start farming in Zimbabwe, Newsday reports.
According to the publication, The SA Embassy spokesperson said:
While we don’t have the numbers, in terms of those likely to benefit, we have spoken to a number of South African farmers who already have their own funding to start agricultural activity in Zimbabwe, so this decision is welcome
