Zimbabwe Achievers Awards Postponed To December

Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) which were scheduled to take place in the resort town of Victoria Falls next month have been moved to December due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In an email to Pindula ZimThrive communicated the decision to postpone the awards which are to be held on Zimbabwean soil for the first time in 10 years.

Conrad Mwanza the ZAA chairman spoke about the decision to postpone the awards and said:

A number of notable events around the world are facing a similar predicament and we jointly agree that at a time of global uncertainty, the safety and health of our guests and community is paramount, and that public gatherings at this juncture do need to be minimised in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

This is an opportunity for us to continue to promote and highlight the extraordinary work Zimbabweans are doing around the world, especially at this time and we look forward to celebrating our tenth edition in the coming months.

ZAA seeks to award Zimbabweans who play an integral role in promoting Zimbabwe abroad. The ZimThrive Homecoming summit has also been moved to December.
