Cameroon Confirms First Coronavirus Case
Cameroon has confirmed the first case of the novel coronavirus (COVI-19). The country’s Ministry of Health reports that the case is a 58-year old French citizen who arrived in that country on 24 February this year.
The ministry further reports that the case has since been quarantined. Below is the Ministry’s statement in full.
Cameroon becomes the eighth African country to confirm the virus 12 cases had been confirmed cases in the following African countries:

- Egypt – 2
- Morroco – 1
- Nigeria – 1
- Senegal – 1
- South Africa – 1
- Tunisia – 1
