South Africa Confirms First Coronavirus Case
Zimbabwe’s southern neighbour South Africa has confirmed its first coronavirus case, BBC reports. The infected man was coming back to South Africa from a 10 day trip to Italy with his wife when he was tested for the deadly coronavirus. He has been in self-isolation together with the doctor that ran medical checks on him.
This development was communicated by the South African Health Minister Zweli Mkhize. According to the publication, a team has been sent to another part of the country to identify people who might have been in contact with the man and the doctor.
The 38-year-old man and his wife have 2 children while nothing has been said about the doctor.
